EDUCATION…
Rae Yeager, flute instructor/performer, holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, where she majored in flute and minored in piano, graduating cum laude in June, 1981.

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (secondary mathematics) from the University of Akron, graduating in 1985.

PRIVATE FLUTE TEACHING…
Rae has been teaching flute since 1975 to students from age 9 to 80-plus. Thus, she understands the challenges faced by younger students and adults… of all skill levels.

In the late 1990s, she was a flute teacher at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio. In the mid 1980s Rae taught flute to students in grades 7 to 12 in Mansfield, Ohio.

Her former students have performed for the Akron Youth Symphony and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra. Some have also participated in competitions at state and national levels.

PROFESSIONAL PERFORMING EXPERIENCE…
Rae has performed ensemble work with piano, organ, guitar, woodwind, and harp players. She is former Principal Flute for both the Ashland (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra and the Mansfield (Ohio) Symphony Orchestra. Plus, she has recording experience at several studios.

IN ADDITION TO FLUTE TEACHING…
As an accomplished pianist, Rae also provides piano accompaniment services for recitals and contests.
